I have moved out of the property where Huddle was my supplier during EBSS discount scheme period and I have not received my final bill or government discount.

Please get in touch with Huddle and provide your forwarding address with preferred method of payment.

I have informed about the sale of property or the moving out date which happened before the EBSS scheme period.

If you have received a payment where we established that you should not have been given one by Huddle but by other supplier, please get in touch and we will agree in which payment method the government discount will be returned from you to Huddle.

I have two or more meters/supply points/MPANs in my home, but I only received one discount payment.

You have received only one discount payment because we identified that only one meter/supply point/MPAN is supplying the main house. Discounts are not paid for meters/supply points/MPANs that are supplying swimming pools, sheds, communal areas and etc. By the directive of the government, a household should receive only one discount regardless of the number of meters/supply points/MPANs on the property.

I am a landlord/letting agent that rents multiple properties but pay the bills on behalf of tenants.

Depending on the contract (business or domestic) with Huddle you may or may not receive the EBSS discount payment.

The property was demolished or in any other way disconnected from a grid (for example, due to theft) during the EBSS discount scheme.

These properties/households do not qualify for the EBSS discount payment.

My electricity supply is with other supplier and gas supply is with Huddle.

EBSS discount scheme payments are only for electricity supplies. This means that your discount payment will be receive from the other supplier that provides electricity.

When and how will I receive £400 from the government?

£400 will be split into six payments over winter as follows:

November 2022: £66

December: £67

January: £67

February 2023: £67

March 2023: £67

 

The discount payment will be distributed through your electricity supplier. Please check the below how it will vary by the payment method.

I pay the energy bills by direct debit. How will I receive the EBSS discount?

The direct debit amounts in the qualifying months will be reduced or refunded by the amount stated.

I pay the energy bills on receipt of a bill. How will I receive the EBSS discount?

Your bills within the qualifying months will be reduced by the amount stated.

I pay the energy bills by top-ups through a smart prepayment meter. How will I receive the EBSS discount?

The credit on your prepayment will be applied within the qualifying months by the amount stated.

I pay the energy bills by top-ups through a traditional prepayment meter. How will I receive the EBSS discount?

Huddle does not support traditional prepayment meters. However, if by mistake you are supplied by us, we will send you a bank cheque within the qualifying months for the amount stated.

My direct debits have failed to be taken by Huddle and I did not get in touch with Huddle.

Please get in touch with Huddle to discuss the best method of payment because otherwise, you will not be eligible for the EBSS discount payment.

My direct debit is less than the EBSS discount.

Your direct debit payment will be refunded, and the difference between the direct debit amount and discount payment will be credited to your energy account.

I pay quarterly. How will I receive the EBSS discount?

You will receive EBSS discount payments monthly.

I pay for my utilities, including electricity, using a bill-splitting service. How will I receive the discount payment?

The discount payment should be split into equal amounts among the service users (that being you and your flatmates). However, you need to check your terms and conditions with the service provider if they have appropriate contracts in place with the energy supplier so that you receive the discount payment.

I am already in debt with Huddle. How will I receive the discount payment?

If you pay…

• by fixed direct debit your debt repayments are already included in the amount, so your fixed direct debits will be reduced by the amount stated;
• by variable direct debit, your total balance will be reduced by the amount stated so your monthly payment and debt get a reduction;
• on receipt of a bill, your total balance will be reduced by the amount stated so your monthly payment and debt get a reduction;
• by top-ups on a smart prepayment meter, a credit by the amount stated will be applied on your current balance;
• by top-ups on a traditional prepayment meter, please get in touch with Huddle now to exchange your meter.

In order to receive the discount, you need to be liable for the electricity bill on these dates:

• 1 October 2022
• 1 November 2022
• 1 December 2022
• 1 January 2023
• 1 February 2023
• 1 March 2023

My relative has deceased/I am the executor of the will.

The discount can be provided to the relatives of a deceased person once the contact is established. Also, if you are the executor of the will, please get in touch for the discount to be provided.
